About Sutherlands Creek
Long ago, the soils and climate of the Moorabool Valley, North of Geelong, were recognised by early Swiss vigneron for their potential in making outstanding wines, following their European traditions.
At our vineyard at Sutherlands Creek, close to Bannockburn, the varietal wines we produce provide a striking point of difference with remarkable true-to-form aromatics and taste profile characters that emphasise their
‘old world’, rather than Australian, origins.
Our soil and climatic conditions show particular promise for a range of “exotic varietals”. With varieties like Primitivo, Nebbiolo, Sangiovese and Gracaino joining more traditional varieties of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Shiraz, that capture the essence of the Mediterranean like climate of the Moorabool Valley.
