About Belalie Bend
Located in the Southern Flinders Ranges Wine Region, you will be forgiven for wondering just where that is. This is the first new winery in the region and as such is a pioneer in the making of fine wine here. Wine making is embraced for its traditional roots and a basket press is used to extract the juice. With the likes of James Halliday’s 2008 Wine Companion rating this a 4 ½ stars, the highest in the Southern Flinders Ranges, you will begin to understand the quality and finesse with which the winery is going about their wine production. The Riesling and Sauvignon Blanc are the first locally grown white grape varieties and the cool nights help to preserve the grape’s acidity and ensure a balanced wine. Using biologically sound and environmentally sustainable vineyard practices has paid dividends as the wine you can order is of the highest quality.
