Winemakers Comments and Tasting Notes
A Cabernet Sauvignon with a difference. Noticeably this wine has been produced in a cool climate and is richly coloured. It is a typical Cabernet Savignon, in that it is rich, smooth and has rich, dark berry flavours. The fine tannins go a long way to contributing to the excellent structure and palate length. This wine will be a solid addition to the dinner table. Any dish that has a strong flavour will benefit from its’ flavour. It is perfect to drink now, and will be enjoyed immensely. If you are able to be very patient, it would be interesting to taste this wine in 5 years time. It’ll take careful cellaring, but the flavour and aroma could deepen and become a wine of note. Then again, if you don’t have the patience for cellaring, it is a Cabernet Sauvignon that would even be enjoyable with a cheese platter as a snack.
