Terms and Conditions
By placing an order through this website you agree to the following trade terms and conditions:
Ordering your Wine direct from the Boutique Winery
- For any wine ordered through boutiquewineries.com.au, the sale is made direct between the
winery and the customer, via the internet. Much the same way as any other mail order sale.
- There are laws in Australia that do not allow a winery to sell wine to anyone who isn't 18
or older. By placing an order you confirm that you are at least 18 years old. These same laws say
that a winery can't sell or supply to or to obtain alcohol on behalf of a person under 18. If you
are buying a case of wine as a gift, the person you are buying the gift for must also be over 18.
If the wine couriers are in any doubt about the age of the recipient on delivery, there is another
law that says they must request some form of ID. In this case, if the person receiving the wine is
unable to produce appropriate ID, unfortunately the couriers will be unable to deliver the wine.
- We'll change our terms and conditions from time to time.
- For credit card payments a credit card surcharge will be charged for each order. The amount of
this surcharge will be made clear before you confirm your order.
- For BPAY payments a BPAY surcharge of 1.5% of your total order will be charged for each order.
- Boutique Wineries is not responsible for wine quality, packaging or bottling of wine as these
matters are the responsibility of the Winery. By using the Boutique Wineries service you release
Boutique Wineries from any claim or liability in respect of quality, packaging, bottling, usage,
consumption or handling or wine.
- If the wine you ordered is not in stock then Boutique Wineries reserve the right to instruct
the Winery to supply the same variety of wine with a different vintage, or with a similar wine.
If the price is different, Boutique Wineries will issue a gift voucher for the value of the
difference.
- If a winery is unable to supply your order, Boutique Wineries will issue a gift voucher to the
value of the original order. This gift voucher can be then be redeemed for
wine by placing an order with another member winery of BoutiqueWineries.com.au.
- Boutique Wineries will undertake it's best endeavors to assist you in seeking a satisfactory
outcome when your order cannot be fulfilled.
- In the event that payment has been made to Boutique Wineries by credit card, you agree that
you will not seek to charge back your payment to Boutique Wineries.
Placing your Order
- The wine list displays the wine that can be purchased through our website. Please note you may
submit an order to more than one Winery at a time but as the wine is delivered directly from the
wineries, you will need to pay delivery from each winery that you order from, and you will
receive your wine from each winery separately.
- You can only create your own "mixed case" by selecting wines from the same winery.
- After payment you will be re-directed to your receipt page, you should print this out prior
to receiving your email receipt. When you have placed an order, an email receipt will be sent to
your email address. The receipt will detail any information you may need to contact the Winery
directly should you need to, plus the order number to allow the progress of your order to be
tracked.
- It is the responsibility of the Winery to include a tax invoice with the delivery.
Payment Security
- We use secure servers with state-of-the-art 256 bit encryption and secure sockets layer (SSL)
technology for the transfer of credit card information. Your credit card information will remain
confidential and fully encrypted from start to finish. Additionally, we have security measures
in place to protect our customer database and access to this database is restricted internally.
- Details of your wine order, contact details and delivery instructions will not be given
to anyone except the Winery that processes your order.
- Your credit card details will not be disclosed to anyone apart from the bank and will
only be used for payment of your order.
Delivery Charges
- Delivery charges will vary depending on your delivery address and the location of the winery
from which you order your wine.
- When ordering, your Shopping Cart will show a total order amount "+ delivery".
- Once you proceed to the Checkout you will be asked to enter delivery postcode (along with
other delivery address details), which will be used to calculate the appropriate delivery costs. An order total (including delivery) will then be shown.
- For international deliveries, we reserve the right to first confirm the correct delivery fees
to the delivery destination. The total cost of delivery will then be bourne by the customer.
Delivery Timetable
- Your order will be delivered by a courier company selected by the winery from which you
ordered your wine. When placing your order we ask that you specify special delivery instructions,
e.g. what to do with your order if you are not at home when your courier arrives.
- Delivery times will depend on your delivery address and the location of the winery from
which order your wine.
- It is important to note that the majority of our member wineries are small operations,
often run by family or retiree couples. So you need to have a little more patience than you
would if you were buying from a bottle shop. Sometimes our members may mess up an order; they may
send the wrong bottles; miss one or two; send it a bit late; or simply forget your order.
Sometimes even our delivery partners may let us down. Stuff happens! So, please select your
wine knowing that there is a chance that you won't get what you expect or that it may be delayed.
We know that it is the experience of a boutique wine you are after, and persistence - and patience -
will always pay off in the end.
