Why should I order wine via Boutique Wineries?Because unless you spend large amounts of your time travelling around all of the wine regions of Australia, you're missing out on the taste sensations of many wonderful and delicious wines that are only sold at the winery cellar door. Now, by easily ordering online you no longer have to miss out! Or, you may be looking for an easy way to get more of that wine you really loved on your last winery tour. That delicious wine may be just a few clicks away! If it is not, you can ask us to get that winery to join the Boutique Wineries community. With over 135 wineries listed on this website, Boutique Wineries is “the place” to find new and wonderful wine experiences from the comfort of your own home, all year round. Why doesn't Boutique Wineries promote mass-produced wines?Boutique Wineries is dedicated to increasing the awareness for Australia's small, family-business wine producers so they get the recognition that they deserve. And we are also dedicated to giving you, the wine lover, access to new wine experiences that you would not otherwise have the opportunity to taste and enjoy. The mass-produced wines from the big wine producers are easily found in bottle shops and other retail outlets. On the other hand, the small wineries do not get the same publicity, merely because of their size. This does not in any way detract from the quality of their wines; they just can't compete with the volume of the big companies. The wines from Australia's small wineries are truly amazing; and it is for this reason we are dedicated to bringing you these wonderful wines. Are boutique wines more expensive than wines at my local retail outlet?No. A common misperception about the wines from the smaller wineries is that they are expensive. But, here at Boutique Wineries, 84% of the wines on offer are between $15 and $25 (or even lower) per bottle. This is on par with the cost of wines in retail outlets BUT you are getting more for your dollar as the wines are uniquely different and will be suited to your individual wine preferences. Traditionally, when you walk into a retail store you can only choose a wine by what is on the label, what the bottle looks like or by asking the salesperson to give you a recommendation, which is hardly definitive. Well, at Boutique Wineries we give you as much information about the boutique wines as possible to help you find a wine that is perfect for you. Here’s how:

See Wine Search Tips. When it comes to boutique wines, simply stated, it is a labour of love that motivates the boutique winemakers to produce such special and personally appealing wines. What is the best way to choose a wine if I don't know what I am looking for?Do you have a wine preference (e.g. red, white or sparkling wine) or a favourite variety (e.g. Chardonnay or Shiraz)? If so, you might want to start searching for one of these wines. Alternatively, there are a number of even easier options to choose a wine. Here are some examples:

How do I find a wine that I am specifically looking for?Start searching in the search box (like Google!) at Search for Wine with information that you know about the wine you are looking for, e.g. the winery name or wine name. Alternatively, use can continue on that page and to search via wine region, vintage, price range or to find a list of winery names. You can also search according to your taste preferences with the Wine Tasting Chart. Or, find a wine to match a food with our Match Wine with Food How do I get access to wines from a winery that is not yet at Boutique Wineries?Go to request a new winery to find the winery you are looking for. Complete the form to let us know you are looking for the wine from that particular winery. We will then contact the winery for you. And, as soon as this winery has joined the Boutique Wineries community, we'll let you know. FAQs – Ordering WineWhere do the wines come from?Once you have ordered your wine, we then tell the winery/ies about your order and the winery/ies arrange delivery of your wine to you. Your wine is sent directly from the winery's cellar door to you. You are buying direct from the winery. Are there any minimum order quantities?While most wineries do not have a minimum order size, i.e. you can order 1 bottle if you like, some wineries do specify a minimum order quantity. This is specific to each winery; some wineries have a minimum order quantity of 1, 2, 3, 6 or 12 bottles. You will see the minimum order quantities for each winery in their individual "delivery terms and conditions" at the bottom of their wine and winery pages.
You can find the wineries that offer a minimum order quantity of 1 bottle by selecting the "minimum order size" in the "Wineries that Offer" browse drop down menu on Search for Wine. Can I order mixed dozens?To receive a mixed dozen in a single case you can only mix and match wines from within the same winery. However, if you want to sample wines from multiple wineries in a single order you can. It just means you will receive multiple deliveries - one from each winery. How do I find wineries that accept orders of 1 bottle?You can find the wineries that offer a minimum order quantity of 1 bottle by selecting the "minimum order size" in the "Wineries that Offer" browse drop down menu on Search for Wine Do you have a shop front?We don't have a physical shop front. Boutique Wineries is a virtual winery tour. The shop front is the boutique wineries themselves! When you order wine via Boutique Wineries you are ordering direct from the winery -- right across the country. Boutique Wineries is an easy way to do a winery tour -- online with the virtual winery tour! FAQs – General Ordering and PricingHow do I order wine?Ordering wine via Boutique Wineries is easy! We'll take you through this simple ordering process: FIRST: Choose a wine via your preferred search method at Search for Wine or Gift Vouchers to add to your shopping cart. SECOND: When you have selected all of the wines you want, go to the Shopping Cart, check the contents and click "Proceed to Checkout". THIRD: At this time, you will be asked to login into your account (or create one if this is your first time). If you are a new customer, click "Create New Account" where you will be asked to enter the minimum information we need to ensure your wine is delivered to you as quickly as possible. If you are a returning customer, simply enter your email address and password; saving you time as you won't need to re-enter your delivery information. FOURTH: Specific to this order, you will then have the option to send wine as a gift to someone else, request gift wrapping, redeem a gift voucher and/or specify special delivery instructions. FIFTH: Choose your preferred payment method: Note: If you pay by BPAY, please allow a couple of extra days for delivery, as the wine will not be dispatched to you until we have confirmed payment. SIXTH: As soon as your payment is confirmed, we will send your order to the winery/ies involved, who will immediately begin to arrange delivery of the wine to you directly from their cellar door. SEVENTH: Check your email inbox. We will send you confirmation of your order via email. What payment methods do you accept?We accept credit card (Visa, Mastercard and Bankcard), Diners Club and American Express. This is by far the quickest way to place an order and start drinking your wine. If you prefer to not use credit card, we also accept BPAY (contact your financial institution by internet, phone banking or branch to make this payment direct from your cheque or savings account). When you pay by BPAY, please allow a couple of extra days for delivery, as the wine will not be dispatched to you until we have received payment confirmation. 
What is the payment method surcharge?The companies providing payment tools on the web site charge a charge a fee for using their facilities. You will see this when you order as the ''payment method surcharge'' Will my personal information (including credit card number) be secure?Yes. We take every precaution to protect your secure information. When you submit sensitive information via the website, your information is protected. When our online order form asks you to enter sensitive information (such as your credit card number), that information is encrypted and is protected with the best encryption software in the industry - SSL. We use the Commonwealth Bank for our secure credit card processing.  Are the listed prices inclusive of GST?Yes. All prices are in Australian dollars (AUD) and are inclusive of GST. What is the legal ordering age?The legal ordering age is 18 years of age. Boutique Wineries will not accept wine orders from anyone under 18 years of age. We ask you to confirm that you are over 18 years of age when you order. What is your refund policy?We are so confident in the boutique wines available here on this website, that we offer a 30-Day, 100% customer satisfaction guarantee. If for any reason you're not completely satisfied, simply tell us and we'll ensure you receive a total refund, no questions asked. What is your product guarantee?

If your wine is not up to scratch all you have to do is let us know and we will arrange replacement wine to be delivered to you or offer you a total refund, your choice. FAQs – DeliveryWhat are the delivery costs?Costs for delivery vary depending on which winery you order wine from and your delivery address. To find the delivery costs for each winery, see the winery's "delivery terms and conditions" at the bottom of each winery page. Some wineries offer free delivery for orders above a pre-defined value. To find these wineries, select the "FREE delivery for certain orders" option in the "Wineries that Offer" browse drop down menu at Search for Wine. How are my wines delivered to me? Which courier service is used?Each Winery chooses their preferred and trusted courier service to safely deliver your wine to you. However we do find that most Wineries trust Australia Post for reliable delivery. For added security, we require that your wine must be signed for on delivery. 
Can my order be tracked?Yes. Each wine delivery can be tracked so, if necessary, we can track the location of your wine delivery for you. What if I am not at home when the courier delivers the wine?When placing your order we ask that you specify some special delivery instructions to let the courier know what they should do if you are not home at the time of delivery, e.g. if not at home leave on back steps. For more security, it is best to please select a delivery address, e.g. work address, where you will be during working hours. What is the delivery time?Delivery times will vary depending on your delivery address and which winery you ordered wine from. As a guide, the following delivery times apply:
Do you accept international deliveries?Yes. Some wineries do accept orders from outside of Australia. To find these wineries that deliver to your country, select the "International Delivery" option in the "Wineries that Offer" browse drop down menu at Search for Wine. FAQs – GiftsDo you have gift boxes?No, we do not offer gift boxes, per se. However, some wineries do offer complimentary gift wrapping services. You can find these wineries by selecting the "Gift Wrapping" option in the "Wineries that Offer" browse drop down menu at Search for Wine. Can I send wine as a gift?Yes, you can send wine as a gift. Simply enter your gift recipient's name and address in the "delivery address" option during checkout. You also have the option of sending a FREE "gift card" to your gift recipient by email and/or with the wine delivery. Your gift recipient can receive your message by one or two methods -- and they are both FREE for you:
