Cabernet Sauvignon from Waruna at the Wine Store Online

Good evening!

One of the advantages of being involved with this wine store online is the rate at which I am introduced to such a variety of good quality wines, that I otherwise would never know about. An example of this is one of our most recent members, Waruna, from Mornington Peninsula, Victoria.

Their Waruna Cabernet Sauvignon is a very commendable wine. I was initially a little taken back by their wine label and logo which is very simple. But don't let this fool you. This wine is a very enjoyable wine.


Their label has this description:

Traditional winemaking methods including ageing in French Oak barrels, have accentuated the fruits character to produce a full bodied wine with rich red colour and fine tannins. Well balanced with a long smooth finish, it is a great wine for any occasion."

And I agree, this is a very easy drinking wine that will go well on any occasion. It is finding these hidden gems that makes it exciting to be a part of this online wine store.

Waruna's wines are made using traditional methods to create a handcrafted product. Their winemaking philosophy is based upon a minimalist approach; and for them this means wines are kept on their lees and use of sulphides as a preservative is kept to a minimum.
