Try a different - Australian Red Wine - from Milhinch Wines

This Australian red wine is different. That's why you can find it on Boutique Wineries. The winery where it is from is Milhinch Wines, a small innovative producer with a 10 acre vineyard adjacent to the Greenock Creek and located along Gerald Roberts Road, Seppeltsfield, near the historic Seppelt Winery in the western Barossa Valley.
The Australian red wine I would like to introduce to you is a Cabernet Rose. Seize the Day - Cabernet Rose is made from Milhinch Wines estate grown Cabernet Sauvignon fruit which was harvested in March 2007. The grapes were crushed and held on skins for 2 days to achieve optimal juice colour. Delicate handling under cold conditions was employed throughout the entire winemaking process. Fermentation was arrested at a a residual sugar level of 11.4gm/Litre and the wine held at 1-3 degrees prior to bottling on 29th of May 2007. Minimum sulphites were added as preservative. The alc/vol is 12.5% Total production: 690 cases.Winemakers Notes:
This rose is vibrant crimson in colour with fragrant summer berry aromas, rich raspberry, strawberry and cherry flavours with leafy notes. The wine has a delicious and lingering finish. Subtle, attractive residual sugar is balanced by crisp, fresh acid. Best served slightly chilled.

This Australian red wine won one Silver Medal Top of Class - 2007 Boutique Wines of Australia Wine Awards and two Bronze Medals, at the Cowra Wine Show and the 2007 Winewise Small Vigneron Awards.
