Victoria hosts a small family winery established in 1996 on a picturesque property. Kinloch Wines looks down from the northern slopes of the Great Dividing Range in Central Victoria North East towards the town of Mansfield. Here is where the premium australian wines come from. Cool climate wines are on offer such as Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Merlot and Cab/Merlot blends.
- Kinloch Wines Merlot - 2005 This australian wine is a delightful cold climate merlot with aromas of blackberry jam. With rich soft mid-palate sweetness and hints of laurel wood characteristics it will complement any meat dish.
Kinloch Wines Pinot Meunier 2004 - This light to medium australian wine is matrued in old French oak barrels with delicate flavours reminscent of vanilla bean, ripe plums and white pepper. This wine variety, usually associated with the poduction of sparkling wine, produces a unique full table wine and with careful cellaring will develop savoury and attractive forest floor characteristics. Drink now or cellar to 2010.
Kinloch Wines Pinot Noir 2004 - Translucent mauve crimson colour and hue. Medium body. The nose displays good varietal character with mulberry and cherry flavours prominent. Herbal/nutmeg characters also make this a flavoursome pinot. Fermented dry this australian wine is soft on the palate and will complement pasta, veal and chicken dishes.
Sauvignon Blanc 2007 - A well made australian wine with nose overtones of pear and green apple and a tingling palate of the racy tropical fruits of pineapple and banana. You will enjoy the fresh crisp acid traits of lime at the finish. Great with spicy food.- On special is the Kinloch Wines Chardonnay 2003. For only $20 you can own this australian excellent cool climate Chardonnay. Perfect weather conditions for chardonnay grapes in our vineyard have resulted in wine of remarkable quality.
