Boutique Wineries Newsletter - January 2008
This is my first newsletter as Head of IT for Boutique Wineries and it is a privilege to send it to you.
So, what will you do on Australia Day? Seeing friends or family to enjoy the usual BBQ? Why not honour this big day with Australian boutique wines? I will present you some special offers from six of our wineries, each of them presenting one of the big Australian winery states:
Australian boutique wineries are there for you online! Always remember our specials! Click here! There are lots of special wines at special prices here at Boutique Wineries. Over 50% of the wines listed on Boutique Wineries are over $15 per bottle. These are exclusive wines at fair values, particularly considering you can't get most of these wines unless you drive to the cellar door!
The winner of last month's competition draw was Elaine Haase from Brisbane, Queensland. Elaine won 2 bottles of exquisite boutique wine. Congratulations Elaine and enjoy your wine!
And here a general reminder for all wine lovers. Wine can be ruined if it is shipped during very hot weather. Therefore more and more wineries hold wine until the weather is suitable. So please be patient ... you don't want heat exposure damaging your boutique wine!
That's it for this month. So until next month, keep this quote in mind

So, what will you do on Australia Day? Seeing friends or family to enjoy the usual BBQ? Why not honour this big day with Australian boutique wines? I will present you some special offers from six of our wineries, each of them presenting one of the big Australian winery states:
New South Wales is the home of the small family owned winery Wright Robertson of Glencoe.
The vineyard is nested in the high country of the New England Tablelands - at 1140m above sea level! They offer their best of the best in a mixed case, the
Wright Dozen for only $165. And on top of that, the delivery is free!-
On Queensland's Granite Belt Symphony Hill Wines have been established since 2003. This family owned boutique winery has already received 8 gold medals! What an experience this will be on Australia Day! On special is their 2005 'Danying' Shiraz/Cabernet Sauvignon. Or try their 2007 Reserve Verdelho with its delight in the perfume of pineapple and kiwifruit, only $25 each.
Situated 2 kilometres from the beach in the Mount Benson Wine Region on the Limestone Coast of South Australia you will find Wehl's Mount Benson Vineyards. Continually receiving awards for their wines, notably their inclusion as a top 10 winery in the 2005 James Halliday Wine Companion rating their Cabernets' with 4.5 stars and 5 stars for Shiraz. Seeing this, you have to try their mixed case for only $225 or their 2004 Cabernet Merlot which is on special for only $19.- The Peel Ridge vineyard is another family operated vineyard situated in the Peel Wine Region adjacent to the cities of Mandurah and Rockingham in Western Australia.
Grapes are grown in their small 5 acre vineyard and tended by hand enabling the family to focus on producing quality wines and qualifies them to be an Australian boutique winery. You will find their 2002 Ryan's Paddock Shiraz on special for only $16/bottle. This elegant, balanced wine has been produced from grapes hand picked from their Ryan's Paddock block.
Pooley Wines
is ideally located facing northeast overlooking the Coal River in South Eastern Tasmania and on the 43.5 latitude line. At 130 meters above sea level, the vineyard is ideal for growing cool climate varieties. As a big fan of Riesling I have to emphasize their range of these amazing wines. Go for the silver medal winner of the 2007 Tasmanian wine show, the 2006 Pooley Coal River Late Harvest Riesling. It is on special for only $26.50. You will love it.
And from Victoria as well ... pure quality: Hand pruned, cane arched, leaf plucked, bunch thinned, hand picked...that is just part of the care given to producing the best fruit possible to in turn make the level of quality that Lost Valley has become synonymous with. The best you can do is, go for their mixed case Four in Hand, and you will get the best of the best.
